Paathai Trust’s First Miyawaki Mini Forest

Project Cost = INR 2,50,000 ( 2.5 Lakhs)

Paathai Trust, in association with the Paruthikkottai Village Panchayat, successfully established a Miyawaki Mini Forest with 2,100+ saplings at Vettikkadu village on July 18, 2020

An acre of previously unused common land, which had been covered with trash & dense thorny shrubs, was completely restored for the project. The land was properly ploughed and prepared, and secure fencing was installed to protect the newly planted saplings.

Elected District Panchayat representatives, government officials, volunteers, and residents of Vettikkadu village enthusiastically participated in the tree-planting event and helped establish the Mini Forest.
